By using FUO Connects you agree to these terms. They are written to be readable; if anything is unclear, ask us rather than guessing.
Who can use the platform
Students, alumni, staff of Federal University Otuoke, and businesses serving the campus community. You must give accurate information when registering, and you are responsible for everything done through your account.
One person, one account. Multiple accounts used to manipulate votes, reviews or listings will all be removed.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it you give us permission to display and distribute it on the platform.
You are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything you do not have the right to share.
What is not allowed
- Selling stolen goods, weapons, drugs, or anything illegal under Nigerian law
- Scams, fake listings, or requests for payment before an item is seen
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or targeting individuals
- Impersonating another person, a staff member, or the university
- Manipulating votes, reviews or engagement metrics
- Scraping the platform, or attempting to break its security
The marketplace is between you and the other student
We are not a party to any transaction. We do not hold funds, verify goods, or guarantee any sale. Listings are reviewed before publication, and a verified badge means a seller confirmed their matric number and phone — neither is a guarantee of honesty.
Inspect before you pay. Meet in a public place on campus. If something goes wrong, report it and we will act on the account, but we cannot recover your money.
Rides
EasyRide connects students offering and needing rides. Drivers are responsible for their own licensing, insurance and vehicle condition. We verify submitted documents where we can, but we do not employ drivers and are not a transport operator.
Moderation
We review listings, resources and reported content. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms. Where we reject something you posted, we will tell you why.
If you think we got it wrong, email fuoconnectstv@gmail.com and a human will look again.
Availability
We aim to keep the platform running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change.
Liability
To the extent permitted by Nigerian law, we are not liable for losses arising from transactions between users, content posted by users, or interruptions to the service.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from settings. We may terminate an account that repeatedly or seriously breaks these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
